We promise to do everything we can to keep you as safe as possible in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Please read our detailed safety procedures below:
What to expect during each appointment:
Upon entering the building, please wash your hands right away.
Pathways Wellness Center (Delafield location): Please arrive in the waiting room no more than 5 minutes before your appointment. Your therapist will meet you in the waiting room at the time of your appointment to perform a temperature check and screening questions, provide a mask if necessary and then escort you inside.
Studio 83 Pilates (Hartland location): Please wait in your car until just before the time of your appointment then enter the building, wash your hands and proceed to our treatment room for screening. Studio 83 is encouraging everyone to avoid using the waiting room at this time. Masks are required:
We kindly ask you to bring a mask from home and wear it the entire time you are within the clinic building (covering mouth and nose). If you do not have one, we will happily provide one for you. If you have a medical condition that does not allow you to wear a mask or if the patient is a child under the age of 5, please email us at: DoctorTrunk@BalanceWithinPT.com so we can notify your therapist prior to your session. It is up to your therapists’ discretion whether they feel comfortable seeing you mask-free; this is a personal decision and depends on their level of comfort with the increased risk to the therapist and thus their families.
Upon arriving:
We will ask you to respond to several screening questions: Are you experiencing any symptoms or have you within the past 2 weeks? Have you been in close contact with anyone with symptoms or that has tested positively within the past 2 weeks? We’ll be taking your temperature with a no-contact forehead scanning device prior to each visit. In the event that a patient is sent home due to an infection concern, we will offer to reschedule a Telehealth PT session instead. The patient is encouraged to contact their MD and is required to wait two weeks before they are permitted to schedule the next in-clinic appointment unless they can provide a physician’s note that they are not infected and cleared for treatment. We ask that you do not bring any visitors or family members with you to your appointment (with the exception of minors, elderly and handicapped individuals).
Patients are asked to wash their hands immediately upon entering the building and after their session has concluded. We also recommend washing your hands immediately upon returning home as well as showering/changing clothes upon returning home due to the high level of hands-on work in each PT session. Telehealth (video PT) services are ALWAYS an option for ANY AND ALL visits. Any patient may opt for all Telehealth or a combination of in person/Telehealth visits. Please note some insurances vary with their Telehealth coverage; we encourage you to look into this prior.
Efforts we are taking:
Our team is wearing masks, scheduling more time between patients for deep cleaning/disinfection work, offering no contact payment options, utilizing hand washing/hand sanitizer before/after any patient contact, and utilizing a HEPA and UVC air filter at both locations. Our staff is also screening themselves with the same requirements prior to each shift. However, despite these and additional efforts taken by Balance Within PT to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there is no guarantee that any setting can ever be 100% safe. Please keep this in mind as we encourage any and all higher risk individuals to choose Telehealth care instead.
Thank you again for choosing our practice in your quest for wellness. We’ve missed you and look forward to seeing you soon! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Wishing you much health and happiness now and always,
Doctors Jereme and Sarah Trunk and the Balance Within PT Team (Jill and Megan and Lori too!)
