Chronic Pain, Spine, Headaches/TMJ, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, Sports Medicine and Orthopedics
No stranger to chronic pain myself, I experienced chronic back pain for more than 20 years due to childhood skiing accident. My relentless pursuit to heal my own symptoms led me to discover the John F. Barnes Method of Myofascial Release. After just 3 sessions, I experienced the amazing relief that traditional medicine and therapies failed to give me. I have since become one of the very few Doctors of Physical Therapy in Wisconsin to gain the prestigious Advanced Myofascial Release (MFR) Practitioner designation through the John F. Barnes Institute. It is my passion to help others just like me who have suffered with chronic pain symptoms. My rare ability to integrate Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physical Therapy with the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Method allow my patients to achieve astounding results despite the failure of other approaches.

Women’s Pelvic Health, Chronic Pain, Spine, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, Sports Medicine and Orthopedics
I began my career conquering the Sports Medicine & Orthopedics world however always felt I was missing something with my chronic pain and spine/pelvic dysfunction patients. Unfortunately, many of these patients would often lose hope as the traditional medical system continued to fail them. Due to my husband’s own journey and some amazing mentors, I realized what was missing; John Barnes’ Myofascial Release and a solid foundation in pelvic health (both of which are left out with traditional PT schooling).
I’ve spent the past several years pursuing Advanced Trainings and Specialties in these areas. I’m proud to now be recognized as one of the few Doctors of Physical Therapy in WI to be certified at the “Advanced” level of the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Method along with Women’s Pelvic Health & Spine/Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Specialties. My rare ability to combine these advanced skills into a whole-body approach allows my patients to achieve long-lasting improvement even when other approaches have failed. I’m passionate about helping my patients address those missing pieces and returning to truly living & enjoying the life they were meant to live.

Pain Relief, Orthopedics, Spine, Expert John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, Functional Manual Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, TMJ Dysfunction, Vertigo/Vestibular Rehabilitation
My interest in human anatomy and physiology coupled with a desire to help others led me to become a physical therapist. I have had an incredible career journey fueled by an intrinsic desire to learn and to facilitate healing, which continues still. My combination of advanced specialty skills gives me great access to the connective tissue system. Since this system is the environment for every structure within the body, treating it fosters amazing results and allows my patients to return to the life they want.
Our bodies are constantly changing and have an impressive capacity to adapt. Quite often, pain appears only after the adaptive options have been depleted. This means the underlying causes of pain are often located quite a distance from the pain symptoms. Therefore, it is essential to look at the whole body to effectively address the root causes.
As a physical therapist, I am a movement system specialist and continually witness the inextricable link between movement and health. Delivering excellent treatment certainly demands this science, but I believe that delivering compassionate care is also an art because our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being are inseparable. It is immensely rewarding to help my patients restore and optimize their movement and health, especially when they have been struggling with pain for years without much benefit from other treatments.

I began my journey as a patient suffering from shoulder, neck, and low back pain. Being less active had become a way of life after auto accidents, overuse injuries, and protective parent instincts (slipping on the stairs while carrying my infant). These injuries never seemed to resolve with traditional therapies and kept returning to haunt me. I finally found relief with myofascial release and therapeutic strengthening; this allowed me to return to playing with the kids, biking, running, and golfing.
My personal experience lead me to my passion of helping others experience authentic healing through MFR, self awareness, knowledge, movement, and education in self treatment. I love helping my patients become independent, happy, and healthy once more!
My ‘tool box’ of skills has allowed me to help many patients see life-changing results through our joint efforts (pun intended)! You can overcome ANYTHING when you have the right tools!

It all began when we met during a Medical Brigade volunteer trip in Honduras. Although we were both working for one of Chicago's premiere Sports Medicine clinics a few miles from each other at the time, it took flying more than 2,000 miles away to meet! Since that time, we've happily relocated to Wales, WI where we love the quiet nature sanctuary of our home along with our furry family; Penny, Hendrix and Joplin.
But it's not about us... it's all about you! We love to put our heads together on difficult cases and collaborate with an amazing community network of integrative, holistic and medical practitioners to support our patients. We believe in working as a team with our patients to empower them with the knowledge and self care tools they need to reach their goals. We feel so blessed to love what we do and if we are not the ones who can help you, we are committed to getting you to the right person who can.
